OHMBA Update: Registrations, SWAG, Ready2Roar, and more....
Hey Bengals Family,
We know you're all getting excited for baseball to start back up, and we wanted to thank everyone that took the time to complete the Intent to Play form. It was important for us to get an idea of our numbers for the upcoming season, and we're looking forward to welcoming you all back soon. With the release of the 2021 Ontario Baseball Association Return To Sport Protocols last week, we wanted to update everyone on a few key items
Registrations
Our House League Committee is meeting this week, and
it is our goal to get registrations opened this coming weekend. We are still working on putting together our own protocols, based on the recent release of the OBA Return to Sport Update, and we are working with the Town to secure adequate facilities to finalize our game and practice nights. We appreciate your patience, and we'll keep our membership updated on any changes, even after registration is opened up. With the added protocols to be followed, we hope you'll consider signing up to volunteer when registering your player. As always, it will take a good group of volunteers/coaches to support our baseball activities through the summer.
Bengals SWAG
On March 16th, we announced via Facebook that our online store was now up and running with Dufferin Apparel. Orders can be placed online by visiting www.dufferinapparel.com and following these steps:
1. Click on the "Online Stores & Order Pad" link on the right hand side of the homepage
2. Click "Sports Associations" on the left hand side of the page
3. Click the link labelled Orangeville Bengals
4. Click the Orangeville Bengals store.
Happy shopping! We look forward to seeing everyone representing the Bengals with this cool new gear, and remember, a portion of the sales will be returned to the OHMBA.
Ready2Roar Campaign
We are continuing to collect videos to be incorporated into our upcoming Ready2Roar Campaign Video to promote OHMBA Bengals Baseball. Be sure to submit your clips to
[email protected] , or send them to us via a message on Facebook or Instagram.
Player Development Committee
Our Player Development Committee (PDC) will soon be meeting with our House League Committee to finalize some practice plans for our different age groups. These practice plans will be provided to our volunteer coaches, and the PDC will be available through the season for guidance and support where possible. We hope this will help improve the experience for both our players and coaches alike.
We are looking forward to getting registrations opened up, and ultimately getting ready to PLAY BALL.
Sincerely,
Your OHMBA Executive.
