Return To Baseball
Hey Bengals Family,

With the announcement that Ontario will be moving into Step 1 of the reopening on June 11th (earlier than expected), your OHMBA Executive is working hard to return to baseball activities as soon as possible. Registrations are now closed.

Under Step 1, outdoor gatherings are limited to 10 people. As a result of this, there is no game play permitted during step 1. We are currently working on forming groups of 10 max (consisting of 8 players and 2 coach/volunteers), and coaches should expect to be contacted later this week/weekend. Step 1 baseball activities will be development / training only, and coaches/volunteers will be provided with some skills and drills reference materials from our Player Development Committee to help facilitate training sessions.

During step 1 uniforms will not be provided. The focus on step 1 is to get our players back on the field and enjoying the game of baseball, while following the protocols. We are working to have uniforms available for when the province moves to Step 2 and we have the ability to return to game play. Step 2 also allows for larger gatherings, so we will be working to form teams in advance of step 2.

We are stilling waiting on Baseball Ontario to provide us with insurance coverage, as well as waiting for the Town to issue diamond permits. We expect both of this actions to take place next week, with our goal to return to baseball activities the week of June 21st. More information will be provided as soon as possible.
