Week 2 Updates
Hey Bengals,

We hope you all enjoyed being back out on the fields in Week 1. We are aware of a few hiccups, but we hope for the most part that everyone enjoyed getting together with their team and getting the season kicked off.

Some quick updates with Week 2 upon us.

Uniforms:
Jerseys are in and volunteers will be working to distribute them to teams/coaches at their fields this week, starting tonight.  We are awaiting an additional set of jerseys needed for one of our divisions that grew more than projected during extended registration. Expected lead time is still two more weeks, but we will get those jerseys to that team as soon as possible.
Coaches will be provided with extra jerseys to help with differences in uniform sizes vs registration data. Jerseys are not individually wrapped by player, so it is suggested coaches line up their players shortest to tallest and provide jerseys to players based on the range of sizes that have been provided.
Thank you to the conveners and additional volunteers for your help distributing, and for everyone's patience while we navigate the current challenges.

Umpires:
While we have had a few umpires come forward, there is still a need for more older teen and adult umpires. During week 1 we saw some parents/fans umpire because of shortages. These parents will be paid like any other umpire. Coaches are reminded, in the event of an umpire shortage requiring a parent to umpire, please email the game time and location to your convener after the game, along with the name of the parent(s) and their email address so that we can send an etransfer when umpires are paid (every 2 weeks).
Any parent/older child tag-teams out there that would like to sign up and umpire together? It can be a great bonding experience while enjoying the game of baseball and making some money. Week 1 saw our VP of Rep and his son umpire together for the first time. They're looking forward to getting out there together again when they aren't busy playing. Please email [email protected] if you're able to help out with umpiring this year.

Volunteers:
Do you have a few hours or half a day to spare the weekend of July 15-17? How about if it meant having a chance to win a set of 4 Toronto Blue Jays Tickets? We are still looking for volunteers to help us with the Rotary Ribfest, and by helping out you are also supporting the OHMBA Shack Renovation as the Rotary Club has donated towards the project in exchange for our support with Ribfest.
Please check out our volunteer signup page for more information on ways you can help the OHMBA this season and be sure to sign up. All volunteers will be entered into a draw to win a set of 4 Blue Jays Tickets for Tuesday Sept 13 vs. Tampa Bay.

Social Media:
Fans/parents, please be sure to tag us or send us a PM on Facebook and Instagram. We are always looking for content to post to our social media channels, and share all of the great moments from the OHMBA season.

There is lots of summer ahead of us, and we'll continue working to make it the best possible experience for all of our members now and in the future. Thank you to all of our parents, players, fans, umpires and volunteers for your dedication to the OHMBA.
