Hey Bengals,
Week 3 has gotten off to a wet start, with games and practices being cancelled Monday and Tuesday.
Here's some quick updates as we hope to get back into action on Wednesday....
Rain-outs /Cancellations / Make-ups
While we had gotten pretty lucky through weeks 1 & 2, rain-outs and cancellations due to weather/field conditions are bound to happen throughout the year - like we are seeing here to start off week 3. Whenever there is a cancellation you will find a banner on the homepage listing all of the cancellations for that evening. In addition, if you have downloaded the SportsHeadz App or the Calendar feed for your team you should receive a notification/update whenever a cancellation or change occurs.
The House League Committee and Field Planners will work on rescheduling games later in the season, but these games will likely be rescheduled for Friday nights or weekends (when we have extra diamond availability). All rescheduled games will be posted to the website and SportsHeadz App.
Coach / Parent Pitching Clinic
The OHMBA Player Development committee will be hosting a free pitching clinic for coaches and parents on Sunday June 26th from 9-10am. Our hope is that by providing training to parents and coaches we will be able to have a larger impact across our membership. Check out the
article here, or sign up under the clinics section of the website.
Girls Baseball Clinic
Volunteers from the OHMBA and the Ontario Women's Baseball League (OWBL) will be joining forces to host a Girls Baseball Clinic on Saturday June 25th from 12-4pm at Idyllwilde Park. The cost for the clinic is $30, and will include a lunch provided by the league (around 2pm).
The clinic is open to all girls ages 4-22, and you do not need to be a current member of the OHMBA. Sign-up today by clicking here, or check out the form under the clinics section of the website.
Volunteers:
Do you have a few hours or half a day to spare the weekend of July 15-17? How about if it meant having a chance to win a set of 4 Toronto Blue Jays Tickets? We are still looking for volunteers to help us with the Rotary Ribfest, and by helping out you are also supporting the OHMBA Shack Renovation as the Rotary Club has donated towards the project in exchange for our support with Ribfest.
Please check out our volunteer signup page for more information on ways you can help the OHMBA this season, and be sure to sign up. All volunteers will be entered into a draw to win a set of 4 Blue Jays Tickets for Tuesday Sept 13 vs. Tampa Bay.
Social Media:
Fans/parents, please be sure to tag us or send us a PM on Facebook and Instagram. We are always looking for content to post to our social media channels, and share all of the great moments from the OHMBA season.

There is lots of summer ahead of us, and we'll continue working to make it the best possible experience for all of our members now and in the future. Thank you to all of our parents, players, fans, umpires and volunteers for your dedication to the OHMBA.
