U7 Advanced T Ball (Ages 6 & 7)
Jr Rookie is open to children born in 2012-2013. Orangeville Minor baseball’s Jr Rookie Program is an advanced level of T ball. This development Program was designed to fall in line with other Ontario Baseball centers. Playing T ball at age 6 and 7 allows the ball to be put in play and encourages more real life baseball scenarios.  They will play on Thursday nights.

Imagine hitting the ball to the gap in left field and legging out a triple. Moving from the introductory year of T ball players at this level play with the rules of baseball imposed. The Jr Rookie T ball program will involve the players more often at all positions and teach kids the rules of the game. Children have the opportunity to throw the runner out or turn a double play. It’s about having fun but also learning the way the game is supposed to be played. Teaching the players “it’s okay to get out”.

New in 2018:
The Jr Rookie All-stars. This development team is put together from the best players in the Jr Rookie age group. In addition to playing weekly in house league play the Jr Rookie All-stars will represent Orangeville at various T ball tournaments and Exhibition games throughout the Summer. This development program was designed for the elite level players looking to compete and develop through our Select and Rep program.
